We try to stay as local as possible. Many of our woods come from within 50 miles of our workshop. Some of the more exotic woods come from as far away as Africa.
Yes. We use most of the woods in all of our products. For example, you could get a pen and cutting board made out of Vermont Maple.

There are many reasons why wood is a superior product. Wood is natural and sustainable. When you use a plastic cutting board, little bits of plastic can end up in your food which is not good. Wood is more durable than glass. Also, wood does not pollute the environment like plastics do. The majority of the wood I use is local Vermont wood (the exotic woods are not local). Each finished piece is unique and handmade. No two pieces are exactly alike, even if they are from the same tree. Not to mention, wood is beautiful.
