Wipe down with a towel damp with white vinegar or bleach or 3% hydrogen peroxide.  Rinse with clean water.  Wipe dry.

Care

It is recommended to oil one a year with mineral oil, beeswax or a combination.

Why Wood?

There are many reasons why wood is a superior product.  Wood is natural and sustainable.   When you use a plastic cutting board, little bits of plastic can end up in your food which is not good.  Wood is more durable than glass. .Also, wood does not pollute the environment like plastics do.  The majority of the wood I use is local Vermont wood (the exotic woods are not local). Each finished piece is unique and handmade.  No two pieces are exactly alike, even if they are from the same tree. Not to mention, wood is beautiful.
